1993
Founding Apple Bee
Originally started as a wicker specialist for indoor furniture, Apple Bee made the official switch to its own brand of outdoor furniture in 1998.
1995
Biculair® Wickerwork
In 2005, the terraces were full of rattan chairs. The atmosphere of those chairs was enormously attractive and sought after. The disadvantage of rattan is that the material deteriorates quickly. Therefore, we developed a wicker that resembles rattan but is made of durable material that lasts a long time and is also recyclable. A revolution in its time.
1998
From the inside out
In 1998, the official switch was made to an outdoor furniture brand of their own. The garden furniture brand Apple Bee with a unique design from Dutch soil was born!
2003
Bee Wett® Technology
Met onze kennis van binnenmeubelen lanceerden wij in 2003 als een van de eersten een echte fauteuil voor buiten als toevoeging op de toen gebruikelijke tuinstoelen. Uniek daarin waren onze speciale weerbestendige Bee Wett® kussens. De Bee Wett® kussenvulling heeft een open cel- en weefstructuur waardoor het geen vocht opneemt en zorgt voor perfecte drainage. Deze technologie is vandaag nog steeds van grote waarde.
2006
Introducing modular lounge sets
In 2006 came yet another revolutionary invention: the beginning of “create your own set-up” with the introduction of the “Elements” modular lounge set. Garden furniture can therefore be used in the garden in an increasingly dynamic way.
2008
Merging Lounge & Dining
In 2008 came the introduction of the first lounge-dining concept with the collection Two Ways. The 2 functionalities of lounging and dining are fine in combination!
2012
Award Winning Wave
Wave for the winning! The collection manages to win 3 awards, including the Sanoma audience award, the Sanoma professional jury award and the B3 Design & Innovation award. The innovative design builds on a tradition of braiding with willow branches but now with modern materials aluminum and Biculair® wicker. Fine handwork results in an airy, recognizable and comfortable piece of furniture - according to the jury.
2018
Relocation Apple Bee
Apple Bee is growing at the seams and moving the office and warehouse in Breda to a double-sized building in Dongen.

Écht goede producten beginnen met bewuste keuzes. Verantwoorde materialen, slimme productietechnieken en vakmanschap komen samen in meubelen die lang meegaan. Zo creëren we tuinmeubelen die niet alleen mooi zijn voor nu maar ook goed voor later.

Dutch Design
Sako Wijma, designer en mede-eigenaar van Apple Bee, houdt van pure belijning. Vorm volgt functie, dus die functionaliteit blijft leidend. Daaraan is de vormgeving dienend. Wat niet wil zeggen dat er geen fun in het ontwerp mag zitten; integendeel! Maar altijd ingebed in een totaalbeeld van rust en balans, waarin de kracht van de belijning bewaard blijft.

Apple Bee furniture is constructed from the best materials. This certainly applies to the cushions. Bee Wett® cushions are special weather-resistant cushions that you can simply leave outside.
